I’m so excited to be in a Nude Figure Drawing group this Fall! Last year not enough people signed up and I can’t imagine why! I love it! We have the best, most experienced models, who understand what is interesting to draw. The model I drew today I actually know, and I feel there is more emotion in these sketches because of it. I can’t wait to see who models for us next week!

“Seeds of Change”

 This watercolor is about the magic that is happening under ground as the sun starts to warm the Earth.



“Running with the Wolves”

  I’m reading the book “Women Who Run with the Wolves by Clarissa Pinkola Estes, and I keep having to put the book down and sketch!  It keeps inspiring all these images in my mind and I want to remember them so I sketch them down right away!  These sketches are elaborated on and evolve into paintings.  

"Eyes of Intuition and an Ocean Full of Tears"

A woman shared her sister’s heart wrenching story of a still birth with me, and this was so deep and so near to the core that I had to paint about it.  I incorporated the idea of “eyes of intution” from the book “Running with the Wolves”
